The aim of the Certificate III in Security Operations (Bodyguard) program is to develop participant understanding in providing operational security services in the context of high risk asset protection.
In addition to the Bodyguard role participants will also gain valuable knowledge in security and Close Protection planning aspects and its risk management processes.
Candidates will undertake practical application of the Close Protection plans developed in the form of team oriented scenarios.
We provide 6 days of practical application of the course, where you will be exposed to Close Personal Protection (CPP) of a VIP in real time execution
This Qualification may be suitable for experienced security officers within the security industry who may wish to advance their career by entering Close Personal Protection as part of their job role.
This also relates to experienced security officers with Qualifications and skills obtained through other sources of employment or training; such as the Police Force or Military. They may choose to formalise their experience by attaining this Qualification through Recognition of Prior Learning or Current Competency.

The course is presented via a combination of structured tutorials, workshops, case studies, video, practical assignments and workplace application. Individual and group work activities and assessment activities are conducted throughout the course.
We provide 6 days of practical application of the course, where you will be exposed to Close Personal Protection (CPP) of a VIP in real time execution.
All trainers and assessors are recognised industry experts, holding relevant experience and training qualifications. They include security industry specialists, former serving police officers, military personnel and emergency response and medical specialists.
The course will be delivered over a minimum of 13 days, each with 8 hours of face to face delivery with external/personal study, equaling 104 hours of delivery.
Within the WA Police Commissioner Conditions of Approval for a RTO, Annex A, this program requires a minimum completion of 112 hours of face to face instruction, which is equivalent to 14 standard 8 hour working days for group face to face delivery of the packaged Units of Competency (UOC). Eight hours may be reduced where HLTAID003 Apply first aid is not delivered as part of the course.
You may also be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for some of the UoC within this qualification.
You will have access to our highly qualified industry experienced Trainer who can provide you with guidance to assist you with completion timeframes for each unit to suit your study goals! You also have access to the Trainer throughout your study period to answer any questions you may have or help you overcome any stumbling blocks you may encounter.

To achieve a nationally recognised qualification, participants are required to complete an assessment project, complete course readings and written assessments. Assessment details will be provided with course materials.

Recognition of Prior Learning is available to persons who have extensive experience in security, Policing, Military and related fields. If you have over 1 year’s experience in the field of security operations, you should consider the RPL process by undertaking a self-assessment against the competency standards of this qualification.
Assessment is conducted via a detailed portfolio of evidence, workbook, questions and written scenarios to support your claim for RPL. Further information about the RPL process will be explained prior to enrolment with any of our training assessor. Where you and your Impact assessor can identify if there are any requirements for further training, you may choose to do this through the completion of individual units (at an additional fee)
